A game like StS, that is nearly impossible to do.

Its impossible to know if the game is luck-based until we solve it.

It's taken Jorbs (abovementioned streamer) 5K+ hours to reach something like mid-40s % chance of success. It would only be luck-based if a dummy coming off the street has a 50/50 chance. Wonderful game, absolutely recommended, not sure it's worth the time beating the higher Ascension levels but even though it felt like a at chore at times, I never felt like I wasn't having fun. I don't know if I'll ever come back to try the same with the other 3 characters, in my mind I think I want to play other games and maybe during sommer 2022 try with the net one, but I am not enterily sure, a part of me thinks I am done with the game for good. I took the card out of my Switch and started Metroid Dread, I really needed to get off the bandwagon because it was starting to feel addictive. None of my runs was past act 3 because I wanted to be organized and begin with a new character only after beating A20 with the Ironclad but I decided that's enough STS for now. the final two bosses where first the clock guy and then Triangle/Donu, which tend to be a bit easier than the unawakened IMO. Relic that lets you draw more cards if you use only 3 in a turn (there's was always a 2energy attack on my hand) (that fucking big statue head didn't appear) a smooth Act 3 path without major assholes on my way. Relic that gives 25 health upon entering a boss (without this, the double boss at end would have been impossible) cursed book that doubles your first 2-energy attack card (this is the one crucial thing that helped me win) two Immolates + early on (minor enemies were dead very fast) Watching Jorbs made me realize, some relics are shared by all 4 characters but are only unlocked by playing the other characters, I made it even harder by not having some relics unlocked.Ībout the winnnig run, I was enough lucky to have the following on my winning A20 run: I will NOT recommend doing higher Ascension levels without unlocking all relics (and a couple of colorless cards I think) with the other characters. During combats though, he's just much better than me at math and in general, his awareness it's what sets him apart (what move comes next, what buffs/Debuffs you'll get next turn, what's ahead in the path, and so on) I'd think 'I'd take X card out of those 3' and jorbs would think for a while and ultimately take said X card. I watched some Ironclad runthroughs by Jorbs to see when/where the decision making would start to divert so that I could adjust accordingly. I dont think me being more careful with my decisions would have changed the outcome drastically at the higher A levels. While I want to say A20 is one of the hardest things I have ever accomplished as a gamer, I think the idea is sort of invalid because it is ridicously luck based at that level and thus it was a game of wanting/hoping to get that golden build to beat the game and not so much about my skills. I don't think I spent a lot of time between A13 and A18 but the last two were absolutely burtal, a big special 'fuck you' to the Act 2 bosses which were the main reason I had to start over so many times. Yesterday I finally beat A20 with the Ironclad (with just 1 single HP left.) so I wanted to give a final update.
